Haleakala Crater is 7 miles across and 2 miles wide and stands at 10,000 feet. The once active volcano is believed to have last erupted in 1790. The crater provides a dramatic visual to this dramatic desert landscape. Hike past large cinder cones towards the summit and discover a mesmerizing sunset.
