Minimum Age
Hotel Wailea is designed for adults seeking a tranquil atmosphere and is therefore suitable for guests aged 18 and older. This applies not only to guest suites, but to the pool area and fitness center.
Private events (such as weddings) with full use of the venue do not have a minimum age requirement.
Parking
Overnight valet parking and overnight self-parking are available for $35 per night.
Maximum Occupancy
Our suites are designed to provide a romantic experience for couples, so they only have one king bed with a very comfortable separate living room area, kitchenette and outdoor seating on a patio or balcony. For that reason, we limit the occupancy to just two (2) guests in each suite.
Cancellation Policy
For flexible rate plans: Cancel 7 days prior to your arrival date to avoid a penalty of 2 nights room and tax. A deposit of two room nights on a major credit card is required to guarantee all reservations.
For non-cancellable rate plans: full payment is due at booking. No refunds will be issued upon cancellation.
For peak dates, including December 21, 2025 – January 2, 2026: Cancel 30 days prior to your arrival date to avoid a penalty of 2 nights room and tax. A deposit of two room nights on a major credit card is required to guarantee all reservations.
Deposit Policy
For Best Flexible Rate plan: a deposit of 3 nights is required at time of booking.
For qualified and limited time offer rate plans: a deposit of 3 nights is required at time of booking.
For Advance Purchase and other rate plans as specified: full prepayment is required at time of booking.
Check-in/Check-Out
Check-in is at 3:00 p.m.
Check-out is at 12:00 p.m.
You may request an earlier check-in or late check-out; however, it’s not guaranteed. Guests arriving before this time may enjoy the use of all hotel amenities, including the pool, restaurants, and fitness center. To check-in, guests must present a valid photo ID and credit card to be authorized for room, tax, and incidentals. Guests must be 18 years old to check-in.
Early check-in can only be guaranteed by booking the room for the night before check-in. Late check-out can only be guaranteed by booking the room for an additional night.
Resort Fee
A $50-per-suite resort fee (plus taxes) will be added to the daily room rate. This fee allows guests to enjoy many hotel services and activities without incurring miscellaneous charges. Resort service fee includes the following amenities:
- Lei greeting
- Activities and experiences, including fitness and yoga classes, outrigger canoe excursions, and other seasonal or pop-up offerings
- 24-hour access to open-air Fitness Studio boasting three-island ocean views featuring Peloton stationary bike and top-of-the-line equipment from Technogym and PENT.
- Aerial yoga studio featuring ocean views and offering complimentary fitness classes
- Luxury vehicle shuttle service within the Wailea area
- Beach concierge to provide you with beach chairs, umbrella, towels, and water along with transportation to any beach in the Wailea area (Luxe Beach Picnic available for a fee).
- Concierge dedicated to securing preferred dining reservations, arranging ocean activities, and making the most of your Wailea vacation
- Private cabanas on a first-come, first-served basis (reservations available for a fee)
- In-suite nonalcoholic beverages
- High-speed Wi-Fi throughout the hotel
Cash-paying Guests
Guests paying with cash must pay at check-in for the full stay’s room charge, resort fee and tax, plus a $50 per day deposit for incidentals.
Debit Cards
The use of a debit card will initiate, at the time of check-in, an immediate deduction from your bank account for your room rate and resort fee, inclusive of tax, for all room nights plus a $50 per day deposit for incidentals. Upon check-out, any unused funds will be credited back to your account. Based upon your bank, it may take 72 hours or longer for your bank to process this back to your account.
Professional Photography & Video Guidelines
- Hotel Wailea places the highest priority on the privacy and safety of guests and staff, avoiding disruption and maintaining tranquility throughout the property. Disruptive photography or filming is not allowed. Hotel management reserves the right to ask any photographer/videographer to cease their session for any reason.
- All camera accessories that could potentially impede foot traffic are expressly forbidden, including: camera tripods, monopods, lighting setups, large reflectors, and staging shots. Unauthorized use of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), including but not limited to drones and radio-controlled aircraft and devices by the public or guests, is strictly prohibited without prior approval.

Smoking
Our hotel and property are 100% non-smoking. This includes all in-room balconies and all outdoor public areas at the hotel. If evidence of smoking is found in the room, guests will be charged a cleaning fee.
Pet Policy
Pets are not allowed; ADA-defined service animals only.

Fitness Center & Wellness Programs
Any use of Hotel Wailea’s fitness center, aerial studio, or participation in on-site fitness classes is done at the participant’s sole risk. Hotel Wailea shall not be liable for any injuries, loss, or damage to the participant or participant’s personal property resulting from the use of these offerings, regardless of whether it occurs as a result of Hotel Wailea’s negligence. If the participant chooses to use the fitness offerings, the participant hereby expressly waives any claim of liability – for personal/bodily injury or damages which occurs to the participant or for any loss of or injury to person or property. This waiver is intended to be a complete release of any responsibility for personal injuries and/or property loss/damage sustained by any participant while on Hotel Wailea’s premises, whether using exercise equipment or not.
Pool
The pool is open 24 hours, daily.
The pool bar is open daily from 10:00am – 6:00pm (meal service at The Cabanas is from 11:00am – 5:00pm).
Below are the basic pool policies:
- Pools are exclusively for registered resort guests
- Guests must be 18 and over to use the pool
- No outside food and beverage
- No glass in the pool area
- No smoking
- Music is allowed with the use of headphones only
- Guests must comply with all pool regulations posted within the pool area.
